종합소득세 연금계좌세액공제 관련 질의

Q. 본인은 근로소득자로 연말정산 시 연금계좌세액공제를 적용받았습니다. 연금계좌세액공제 한도액을 초과하여 세액공제를 받지 못한 금액의 경우 기부금과 동일하게 처리(이월공제)하면 되는 것인지 궁금합니다.

A. 연금계좌세액공제는 기부금세액공제처럼 이월공제를 통하여 공제받지 못한 금액을 적용하는 것이 아닌 납세자 선택에 따라 공제받지 못한 금액을 공제받고자 하는 연도에 전환하여 공제를 적용할 수 있습니다 (별도의 조정명세서등을 작성하지 않음.).

이전 과세기간에 연금계좌에 납입한 연금보험료 중 소득세법 제59조의3에 따른 연금계좌세액공제를 받지 아니한 금액이 있는 경우로서 그 금액의 전부 또는 일부를 해당 과세기간에 연금계좌에 납입한 연금보험료로 전환하여 줄 것을 연금계좌취급자(금융기관)에게 신청한 경우에 연금계좌세액공제 적용이 가능하며(소득세법 시행령 제118조의3), 이 경우 세액공제를 받고자 하는 연도에 연금계좌를 취급하는 금융기관에 전환 요청하여 검토 후 전환처리되었다면 해당 금융기관에서 ‘연금납입확인서‘를 발급받아 세액공제가 가능할 것으로 판단됩니다.
